Walaa Hmeida MFTI (She/Her)

Walaa is a compassionate Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life's challenges and heal from trauma. She understands that trauma, whether stemming from significant life events or quieter experiences such as shame, environmental stress, or systemic oppression, can profoundly impact our sense of self and our relationships with others. Drawing from her multicultural background, Walaa is passionate about providing culturally relevant and trauma-informed care. She creates a safe and welcoming space for clients to embrace all parts of themselves and work toward living authentically.

Using evidence-based approaches such as Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), attachment-based techniques, and trauma-informed practices, Walaa tailors her methods to meet the unique needs of her clients. Whether she is helping couples strengthen their bond, assisting families in resolving conflict or guiding individuals through personal struggles, she supports her clients in reconnecting with their true selves, aligning with their values, and building meaningful relationships.

Walaa holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Family Studies and is currently in her final semester of a Master’s program in Marriage and Family Therapy. She believes that healing is a collaborative journey and feels honored to walk alongside her clients as they uncover their strength, heal from trauma, and cultivate joy in their lives.
