  • To ensure we can accommodate all our clients, we kindly ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Please note that a late cancellation or no-show without 24 hours’ notice will incur a fee of $100.

  • Affinity Family Counseling does not provide letters for emotional support animals or engage in legal matters. We cannot assure the fulfillment of requests for letters or accommodations. However, each request will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, considering the client's attendance of an adequate number of sessions necessary for the therapist to fully understand their mental health needs.

  • At AFC, we understand that building a strong therapeutic relationship is essential for effective treatment. If you find that you don't connect well with your therapist, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. We have a diverse team of clinicians with varying personalities and approaches. Your comfort and progress are our top priorities, so if someone isn't the best fit for you, simply give us a call or send an email, and we'll be happy to set you up with another clinician. Rest assured, we will never take it personally; we want to ensure you receive the support and care that best suits your needs.

  • After your initial appointment with your therapist, together you'll determine the frequency of your sessions based on your specific needs, schedule, and capabilities. This typically involves scheduling sessions either once a week or once every two weeks.

  • For clients using insurance, your cost per session will be determined by your particular insurance plan’s benefits. If we are in network with your plan, you can call your insurance provider and ask about your “in network outpatient mental health benefits”. If you are out of network, you can call your insurance provider regarding your “out of network outpatient mental health benefits”.     If you plan to do self-pay, your cost per session will vary. The cost for an initial session will be $140-$160. The cost for following sessions will be $130-$150.
